We made it. Superior Seating has been named to the Inc. 5000, and while we are proud to see our name on the list, the milestone means more to us than a ranking. When we look back at what brought us here, we see years of projects, new ideas, difficult decisions, better tools, stronger manufacturing capabilities, and thousands of customers who trusted us with the spaces they were creating.
Growing Alongside Our Customers
Growth at Superior Seating did not happen in a single moment. It happened project by project as we worked with restaurant owners, hospitality groups, designers, architects, and businesses trying to create spaces that worked better for their guests.
Some customers came to us for a few chairs for a neighborhood restaurant. Others needed furniture for multiple locations, custom booths, unusual finishes, detailed floor plans, or products built around a very specific design vision. As those projects became larger and more complex, we had to become better at supporting them.
That meant expanding what we could offer, strengthening our manufacturing capabilities, improving our internal processes, and finding better ways to guide customers through increasingly customized projects.
Building More of What Our Customers Need
As demand grew, so did the need for greater production capabilities. One of the biggest steps came in 2023, when we opened another manufacturing facility to support our growing banquet furniture program.
The expansion gave us more room to produce, experiment, refine processes, and continue developing products for commercial environments. More importantly, it gave our team greater control over the details that matter: construction, customization, consistency, and the ability to respond as the needs of our customers change.
Growth was never simply about making more furniture. It was about becoming better at making the right furniture for the projects our customers bring us.
We’ve Been Improving the Website, Too
Not every important change happens on the manufacturing floor. A large part of our work over the past several years has focused on making Superior Seating easier to work with before production even begins.
Commercial furniture can involve hundreds of decisions: chair styles, upholstery, finishes, table combinations, dimensions, layouts, quantities, lead times, and specifications. We knew that simply having a large selection was not enough. Customers also needed a clearer way to understand those options.
That is why we have continued investing in the Superior Seating website. Product information has become more detailed, pricing and Quick Ship options are easier to find, compatibility information is clearer, and customers have access to resources for restaurant booths, table configurations, case studies, layout planning, and the commercial quote process.
Making Custom Furniture Easier to Navigate
Customization has always been an important part of what we do, but more options can also create more complexity. A custom restaurant project may involve upholstery, wood or metal finishes, dimensions, booth layouts, table combinations, quantities, schedules, and dozens of small decisions that all need to work together.
Our goal is not simply to tell customers that something can be customized. We want to make the path from an idea to a finished product easier to understand. That means improving material and finish resources, making product options clearer, providing layout support, helping customers visualize their spaces, and creating a more straightforward quote process.
More possibilities. Less friction.
The experience around custom furniture matters just as much as the finished product. We are continuing to improve the tools, information, and support that help customers make decisions with more confidence.
The Work Customers Don’t Always See
When people see Superior Seating, they usually see the finished result: a chair, booth, table, or completed restaurant. What they do not always see is everything happening behind that finished product.
There are welders refining a frame, upholsterers working through details, production teams coordinating schedules, designers reviewing layouts, salespeople solving unusual requests, customer-service teams answering questions, logistics teams getting orders where they need to go, and developers continuously improving how customers interact with us online.
Sometimes progress means investing in new equipment. Sometimes it means changing a production process that has been done the same way for years. Sometimes it means rebuilding part of our website because customers deserve a better experience. And sometimes it begins with a very simple question: How can we make this better?
What the Inc. 5000 Means to Us
Being named to the Inc. 5000 gives us a moment to recognize how much has changed. We have expanded our manufacturing capabilities, developed new product categories, worked with businesses across the country, improved the way customers use our website, and built better processes for increasingly complex hospitality projects.
But growth also makes the things that still need improvement easier to see. There are tools we want to make better, product information we want to make clearer, custom projects we want to make easier, manufacturing processes we want to refine, and many parts of the customer experience that will continue to evolve.
That is why we do not see the Inc. 5000 as a finish line. We see it as evidence that the work happening every day — including the work nobody sees — is moving us in the right direction.
