Where Mini Golf Meets Food & Entertainment

PopStroke describes its concept with three simple words: Eat. Putt. Drink. The idea is to turn mini golf into a broader hospitality experience rather than treating food and beverages as secondary concessions. Each venue combines golf with a full-service restaurant and social amenities intended for families, friends, date nights, corporate groups, and casual competition.

PopStroke is partnered with Tiger Woods and TaylorMade, connecting the venue to recognizable names in golf while keeping the experience intentionally approachable for different ages and skill levels. At the Katy location, guests can play one of two outdoor 18-hole putting courses, use a TaylorMade golf ball during their round, keep score digitally through the PopStroke app, and then continue the visit over food, drinks, or ice cream.

The app and on-course service also blur the line between recreation and hospitality. Guests do not necessarily have to finish golfing before ordering. Food and beverages can remain part of the experience while players move through the property, which means tables and seating need to support a fluid environment rather than a single traditional meal period.

PopStroke’s visual identity takes cues from modern golf architecture rather than traditional miniature golf. The putting courses use clean landscaping, synthetic turf, defined fairway-like surfaces, and contemporary structures instead of the windmills and novelty obstacles associated with classic mini golf. Large screens and sports-viewing elements reinforce the competitive side of the experience.

The furniture follows that same visual direction. Brushed aluminum creates a clean, contemporary frame, while pewter synthetic teak introduces the appearance of weathered wood without relying on natural wood for every outdoor seating surface. The restrained gray-and-silver palette also works naturally beside green putting surfaces, dark architectural accents, televisions, and modern bar areas.

Because the design is intentionally neutral, the furniture does not compete with the activity around it. Instead, it creates a consistent hospitality layer throughout the property. Whether guests are sitting down for lunch, taking a break between rounds, watching a game, or meeting colleagues for a group event, the seating feels like part of the same environment.

Furniture for an entertainment venue faces a different workload from furniture in a conventional dining room. PopStroke needed seating that could support guests arriving for very different reasons and staying for different lengths of time. The furniture also needed to move easily between these use cases while standing up to an outdoor environment. Heavy or visually bulky pieces would make resets more difficult. One Furniture Collection, Multiple Seating Formats

One of the strongest aspects of the PopStroke project is the variety created from a relatively simple material palette. The original furniture program included 31" × 31", 31" × 52", and 31" × 75" tables, along with both standard and taller table configurations. Seating arrangements included four- and six-chair setups as well as four- and eight-bar-stool layouts, with arm and armless options.

That flexibility matters in a venue where the furniture must support more than meal service. A compact table can serve a small family taking a break from golf. Longer tables can accommodate groups and events. Tall tables work naturally near bar and social areas where guests may be moving between golf, drinks, and sports viewing rather than settling into a traditional dinner.

Using the same aluminum frame language across those formats keeps the property visually organized. The tables change size and height, but they still read as part of one coordinated furniture collection.

Materials, Finishes & Outdoor Performance

The project materials were selected around commercial outdoor use. Aluminum offers a useful combination of strength and lower weight than many traditional steel furniture systems, making tables and seating easier to reposition when the venue changes layouts. Fully welded construction adds durability for repeated hospitality use.

Synthetic teak provides the linear wood-slat appearance commonly associated with outdoor dining furniture while requiring less of the maintenance associated with natural teak. The pewter finish gives the furniture a weathered, contemporary character that works particularly well with PopStroke’s sports-and-golf aesthetic.
