Restaurant Furniture Case Study: Villaggio Iccara Italian Restaurant
A Warm Italian Dining Room Built Around Durable, Elevated Furniture
Located at Hamilton Township, NJ, Villaggio Iccara is known for its inviting atmosphere, classic Italian hospitality, and polished dining experience. The furniture selected for the space needed to support that identity from every angle: warm, elegant, comfortable, and durable enough for busy lunch, dinner, and private dining service.
To help shape that experience, Superior Seating supplied a coordinated package of sintered stone table tops, rustic composite tops, black and gold table bases, and walnut-finish wood dining chairs. Together, these materials create a layered restaurant interior that feels timeless without sacrificing long-term performance.
The final look balances texture and polish: bright white-and-gold surfaces for visual lift, darker rustic tops for depth, walnut seating for warmth, and metallic base accents that subtly elevate the room.
Venue at a Glance
- Venue: Villaggio Iccara
- Venue Type: Restaurant
- Setting: Indoor Dining
- Color Palette: White • Walnut • Gold
- Furniture Focus: Elegant dining surfaces, warm wood seating, durable table bases, and a cohesive full-service restaurant look
The project called for a furniture mix that could support both everyday dining and more celebratory occasions. Every piece needed to contribute to a refined guest experience while staying practical for commercial restaurant use.
The Challenge: Elegant Dining That Performs Daily
Villaggio Iccara needed more than beautiful furniture. The restaurant required pieces that could stand up to constant use while continuing to look polished in a full-service setting. Dining surfaces had to resist scratches, stains, and heavy turnover. Bases had to stay stable and visually clean across multiple table layouts. Seating needed to feel warm and approachable while reinforcing the restaurant’s more upscale dining atmosphere.
In a hospitality environment, style alone is never enough. This project needed materials that would perform consistently through service, hold up to cleaning, and continue to support the overall visual identity of the dining room over time.
- Surface durability: Table tops needed to hold up against frequent daily use, plate movement, spills, and cleaning.
- Visual range: The dining room needed a mix of surfaces and base finishes that still felt unified.
- Comfort: Chairs needed to support longer dining occasions without feeling bulky or dated.
- Aesthetic consistency: The furniture had to reflect a refined Italian restaurant setting—not generic commercial seating.

The Solution: Stone, Walnut & Gold
Villaggio Iccara selected a thoughtful mix of furniture that delivers both design flexibility and long-term durability. The combination of Economy Sintered Stone Restaurant Table Tops in White and Gold with Pewter High-Density Composite Rustic Table Tops allows the space to balance polished and textured finishes while maintaining a cohesive overall look.
To support these tops, the restaurant selected a combination of black square and rectangular metal bases for clean, understated structure, along with gold powder-coated round bases that bring a softer, more elevated accent into the room. Seating was completed with two warm walnut chair styles: the Lola Wood Restaurant Chair and the Koa Modern Walnut Finish Wood Chair.
The result is a dining room that feels intentional and upscale, but still grounded in practical restaurant performance. Every piece works visually on its own while contributing to a unified hospitality setting.

Materials & Finishes
This project works because the material mix feels deliberate. Instead of relying on one repeated finish across the room, the design uses contrast in a balanced way—bright polished surfaces next to textured composite tops, black structural bases paired with warmer gold accents, and walnut wood seating to bring the whole palette together.
- Sintered stone tops: Bright, polished, and durable enough for active restaurant service.
- Pewter composite tops: Rustic texture that adds depth and keeps the room from feeling overly formal.
- Black metal bases: Clean and practical support for everyday table layouts.
- Gold powder-coated bases: A softer accent finish that elevates select dining moments.
- Walnut wood chairs: Warm, inviting, and ideal for a full-service Italian dining environment.
Together, these finishes give Villaggio Iccara a dining room that feels polished but still comfortable—an important balance for a restaurant built around hospitality, tradition, and repeat visits.
